The TV station’s Facebook post on the subject drew a variety of serious and not-so-serious comments:

  • “Giant sinkhole”
  • “Fracking”
  • “Earth’s labor pains” before a large earthquake
  • “Devil’s coming down to Georgia”
  • “Stone Mountain is going to erupt”

One commenter from Austell said she felt something around the same time.

This is the second time this month that shaking was reported in Gwinnett, and at least the third time since November.

A 4.1-magnitude quake center near Augusta was felt for hundreds of miles, including Gwinnett, two weeks ago.

A quake centered in Kentucky on Nov. 11 was reportedly felt by Patch readers in Buford and Dacula, and by many others all over north Georgia.
