Metro Atlanta could be in for some strong storms this evening, according to the National Weather Service office in Peachtree City.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for metro Atlanta until 11 p.m., including Gwinnett County. A hazardous weather outlook has been issued elsewhere in north Georgia.
Several severe thunderstorm warnings had been issued for counties in northwest Georgia as of 3 p.m.
