Norcross Weather: Rain, Cold Air May Be on the Way

Norcross is set for a wet week of cooler temperatures as a cold front moves into Georgia. Freezing temperatures could arrive next week.

Following a warm weekend in the 70s, Georgia is set for rain, cooler temps and maybe even a blast of cold air from the north.

A rainy Monday and Tuesday accompany cooler weather and a cold front, as it moves from out west to the east by midweek, according to The Weather Channel. It's not yet clear how far south the cold air would reach as the jet stream dips.

Forecasters give Norcross a 90 percent chance of rain Monday, when the high is expected to reach 63, and 80 percent chance on Tuesday with a high of 57, according to the National Weather Service. Showers are expected to taper off Wednesday and Thursday, as low temperatures dip to 39 and 35, respectively. Highs are forecast for the mid 50s.

Current above-average temperatures give way to possible additional waves of arctic air that could reach into Georgia later this month or next, as the potential for the coldest weather in years sets up our friends to the north, according to AccuWeather.

Next week, Norcross' low temps could dip below freezing, according to The Weather Channel's monthly forecast.
