What to Do New Year's Eve in Norcross and Gwinnett

Still looking for a fabulous way to ring in 2013, or do you already have plans but want something better?

If you're looking for something in the greater Norcross area, there's plenty to do. In Historic Downtown Norcross, both Mojito's and Iron Horse Tavern are having end-of-the-year celebrations.

Everyone's favorite Cuban-American sit-down is having a New Year's Eve Soiree. A special menu and regular menu will be offered, but they'll also have different time shifts for customers to choose from for their dinner (5 p.m.-7 p.m., 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m., 9:30 p.m.-midnight), so call ahead to reserve your desired time slot. If you pick the midnight slot, beads, hats and party favors will be available to get everyone in the New Year's Eve mood. The Mojito's house band will be playing along with singer (and server) Lee Williams.

At Iron Horse, step back into the 80s--during prom season, that is. Dig up that puffy-sleeved prom dress and neon suit or dress down in some parachute pants and leg warmers and head to the downtown pub for some tunes, food, drink specials and champagne at the We Love the 80's New Year's Eve Dance Party. Starting at 9 p.m., the party will have a DJ spinning 80's music all night, and there will be a prom king and queen crowned at the end of the night.

If you're in the clubbing mood, Hush Lounge in the Norcross area is having a Midnight Kiss New Year's Eve Party. The event will offer free champagne before 10 p.m. for the ladies and a free tapas buffet before 10 p.m., and entry is $20 all night with doors opening at 7 p.m.

In nearby Peachtree Corners, Great American Burger Boutique and Ale is hosting the D4F New Year's Eve Dinner & Dance Party. An appetizer buffet will be available and every famous dance through the decades, along with Latin dance music and old school salsa, will be playing all night long. Cover is $30 per person.
