New History Walks Kick Off This Weekend

Patch contributor Sally Toole leads the new downtown strolls.

Want to be entertained by hearing the back story of those historic places you walk by everyday? Local author and historian Sally Toole is kicking off new history walks in downtown Norcross, starting this Saturday, Jan. 28.

Toole, who previously co-produced Norcross Ghost Tour, is going with a new format for the tours, which will be held at noon and 3 p.m. on the last Saturday of the month. The group will gather on the front porch of the new Home store at 138 Holcomb Bridge Rd. The store is also holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday.

Toole will be spinning tales of those who “walked these streets before us.” The stories will follow the history of the town in chronological order, so she encourages people to tag along on more than one trip.
