Duluth's First Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Our neighbors will be provide food, drink for a festive event on the Duluth Town Green.

Duluth is celebrating Cinco de Mayo on the Town Green from 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow Thursday, May 5. Tacos by Pure Taqueria, food samplings by Chocolate Perks, Margaritas, beer and wine, coffee, and ice cream will be available for sale. The Déjà vu band will provide music.

The new event for the city will celebrate the Mexican holiday and Pure Taqueria’s impending opening. The popular restaurant, currently under construction in Downtown Duluth, had planned a grand opening to coincide with the May 5 holiday, but is now slated to open this summer.

“Downtown Duluth is the place you want to be to celebrate,” said Alisa Williams, the city’s public information and marketing director. “It’s your chance to get a taste of what you will be able to enjoy downtown when Pure Taqueria opens its newest location on the corner of Main Street and Ga. Hwy. 120.”
