Chanukah Begins in Norcross

Ten-foot menorah lit at Norcross Community Center on Tuesday.

Members of the Chabad Enrichment Center entertained close to 200 people as they came to the Norcross Community Center to celebrate the first day of Chanukah.

Festivities included singing, dancing, raffles, traditional Jewish food such as potato latkas and the highlight, the lighting of the first candle on a 10-foot menorah.

Led by Rabbi Yossi Lerman, the lighting of the menorah was met with cheers as the first night of the sacred Jewish holiday got underway.
