Target Partners With Norcross PD Foundation for National Night Out!

Police and Community Partnerships - Building Partnerships and Preventing Crime. Bringing our community closer together!

It’s official, Target will once again partner with the National Association of Town Watch as a sponsor for the 29th Annual National Night Out.  Even though the event is in its 29th year, this is the first time The City of Norcross will be participating in this national program to give Crime and Drugs a Going Away Party.

The Norcross National Night Out Committee met with Target Store T-982 Team of Steve Kester, Store Manager Team Lead and Kevin Davis Executive Team Leader Assets Protection recently to begin planning for the event.  This is also the first time that the store will be participating in a National Night Out event and both Steve Kester and Kevin Davis are excited about the partnership.

The partnership between Target and the Norcross Police Foundation falls under the foundation’s mission of 1) encouraging collaboration and synergy within the Norcross Community and 2) strengthening community involvement.

Just think, the planning committee behind Norcross National Night Out are all volunteers who came together to support Officer Jennifer Gardner of the Norcross Police Department.  Officer Gardner has been wishing for a National Night Out Event for the past two years and thanks to this group of citizens, and the partnership with Target her wish will come true on August 7th, 2012 in Thrasher Park, from 4pm – 9pm.
