T minus 10 days to Yarn Bombing Norcross!

A simple community project involving yarn has turned into an amazing event!

The Norcross Yarn Bombers were at it on the porch of The Nest on Saturday.  The last workshop in the series was attended by over 20 women representing Dunwoody, Peachtree Corners, Alpharetta, and Norcross.  The Spring Into Yarn public art event is being sponsored by Norcross Arts Alliance, The Nest, Artworks! Gwinnett, and the City of Norcross.

A total of 35 ladies attended the two workshops that were held.  The group did a tour of the parks and downtown business area scoping out trees, benches, buildings and fences that they plan to decorate with their vibrant yarn creations.

Marian Rose, President of the Atlanta Knitting Guild made a visit to Norcross to find out more about the project and has now joined forces with SEFAA South Eastern Fiber Arts Alliance and Crochet Guild of America to take part in the event!
