Save-the-Date: 4th Annual Norcross Police Awards Banquet

Norcross...it's time to salute the wonderful officers of the Norcross Police Department!

In keeping with its founding tradition, “Community support for our Officers”, planning for the 2012 Annual Police Appreciation Awards Banquet has begun.  Each year we honor our outstanding police department with a dinner and awards ceremony. On Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., we will recognize their wonderful performance at Hopewell Baptist Church’s Faith Hall.  The Norcross Police Department Foundation is now accepting sponsors and monetary donations for the annual event.

I, along with my fellow committee members feel that The City of Norcross is very blessed to have such a dedicated group of officers.  Every officer is an asset to our community and we the citizens, and local business are privileged to be a part of it.

Last year, generous donations helped to ensure that gift certificates were presented to each award recipient, and that there was an abundance of food for the officers and their families. Please join the board members, city officials, local businesses and residents in saluting our officers as we celebrate the 4th Annual Norcross Police Appreciation.

We will also be honoring a local resident with the coveted Helping Hands Award this award recognizes and honors an individual who goes above and beyond what is normally expected in our community.   It's time to start thinking about nominations for this award.  Our past winners were 2010 Barbara Anglin and 2011 Connie Weathers.
