Norcross High School Students are Looking for Summer Employment With Norcross Businesses

Is school really any different than the "working world"? Apprehensive high school students aren't quite sure.

Norcross, GA- City of Norcross Economic Development staff contacted Gwinnett County school teacher Ashley Morris, to offer a "helping news article," trying to employ as many students as the Norcross business community can absorb.

"Putting Norcross students with Norcross businesses is very similar to what I do every day," said Rusty Warner, Director of the Department. "As a matter of fact, this is really an extension of our City First Program, a program that matches Norcross businesses to other Norcross businesses with the goal of keeping Norcross dollars, in Norcross."

Internship with a company can be a life-changing experience for both the teenager and you. Teen employees could be considered malleable. There are no developed bad work habits, they bring fresh ideas and their minds are open to learning all about your business. If texting while studying counts as a skill, teens could be considered mutitaskers.

"High school students sometimes get stuck-in-the-middle, not able to get a job because they don't have experience- but can't get experience because they can't get a job," said Warner.

According to Ashley, "Talented Norcross students are interested in learning more about the business world and (are) anxious to work for you."
