Shopping and Dining in Historic Norcross, Georgia

The Comfort Inn & Conference Center Northeast highlights shopping and dining in Norcross, Georgia. This historic town in Atlanta's northern suburbs offers plenty of excellent choices.

The historic town of Norcross, Georgia is a twenty minute drive northeast of downtown Atlanta.  The old town grew up along a railroad line and prospered in the post Civil War era.  Today a number of the town’s old brick buildings date back to the late 1800s.  They once housed mercantiles and livery stables but are now home to a variety of shops and restaurants.  Here are some of the best places to explore in Norcross.

A Taste of Britain, at 73 S Peachtree Street, carries a wide selection of food, tea, gifts, china, and tartans from the British Isles.  The owner is English and makes frequent buying trips back to the UK.  Right next door is Good Things Home and Garden, a wonderful place to browse.  This shop offers fun and whimsical accessories such as bird houses, tools, soaps, and lotions.  Anna Balkan Jewelry Gallery is located down the street at 51 S Peachtree Street.  Here shoppers will find beautiful handcrafted jewelry.  Many one-of-a-kind pieces have pearls and colorful semi-precious gemstones.

For trendy women’s clothing and accessories, head to Dress Up Boutique at 81 S Peachtree.  Art lovers will enjoy Abby Gayle’s, at 74 N Cemetery Street.  The shop carries original folk art and home furnishings.  The Shops of Antique Traditions offers five merchants under one roof.  Shoppers will find antiques, furniture, and accessories at this antique mall, located at 109 S Peachtree.
