Stan Stockdale was the original platoon commander of the 47th Scout Dog Platoon, whose 28 members formed teams consisting of one soldier and one dog and walked point (went first), scouting danger for Infantry units in Vietnam. Come hear Lt. Stockdale speak of the amazing service that the handlers and their dogs performed and the unique bond between these men and their German Shepherds. 6:30pm in the Norcross Cultural Arts & Community Center, 10 College St.
