Five youngsters said they had a gun pointed at them while outside a QuikTrip in the Norcross area earlier this month. Four women and one man, all in their late teens and early 20s, decided to go to the 6065 Singleton Road gas station March 4 around 4:45 a.m., according to the police report. The four women wanted to go inside the store, so they stepped out of the car while the man stayed. A local man was allegedly beaten and robbed of $2,500 in his own apartment last week. According to the Gwinnett County Police report, a police officer was doing a routine check at an apartment complex on the 5700 block of Singleton Road at 3 a.m. Feb. 27. While on the check, he saw a man came running through the complex's parking lot with blood all over him. The man, 36, told the officer how he had been drinking alone in his apartment when two men came knocking on the door around 1:45 a.m. that Monday. A woman told police that a man showed his penis to her while she was walking her dog last week. According to the Norcross Police report, a woman had been walking her dog with her cousin, her brother and her father down Station Circle in the city of Norcross. A man was shot and another was kidnapped last Saturday at an apartment complex in unincorporated Norcross. Units tended to the shot victim and the kidnapped victim was located later unharmed, according to police. According to the Gwinnett County police report, the incident took place at Arbor Mill Apartments on Graves Road around 7:30 a.m. Feb. 25. A man was arrested for a domestic aggravated assault case where he beat another man with a baseball bat in the city of Norcross. According to the Norcross Police report, the incident took place last Saturday, Feb. 18, around 4:30 p.m. on the 2100 block of Newbury Road. The Atlanta man had gone to his ex-girlfriend's house to pick up their daughter, and while in the driveway, an argument erupted between the two exes. The owner of a Blimpie allegedly came after a woman with a knife when she asked for free sweet peppers earlier this month. According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the 46-year-old Snellville woman walked into the Blimpie at 1740 Indian Trail Road in unincorporated Norcross around 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 6 and asked for some sweet peppers. Norcross PD arrested two men after finding them in the act of stealing truck parts from a Tropicana branch earlier this month. A suspicious persons call was received around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 to report that two males were behind a business at 2885 Pacific Drive in the city of Norcross. According to the police report, the business kept many large, refrigerated trucks there to transport juice. A man was allegedly robbed by gunpoint after going into a hotel room to meet with a prostitute late last month. According to the police report, the 26-year-old man arrived at the Ramada Inn in unincorporated Norcross around 7 p.m. on Jan. 20. He told Gwinnett County Police that he made contact with a thin, short female, who invited him into one of the rooms at the 5885 Rockbridge Court hotel. A mother and daughter were allegedly scammed into buying two iPads and an Apple laptop while at QuikTrip late last month. The incident is somewhat similar to another report of a woman scammed into buying a MacBook Pro in a Walmart parking lot in Lilburn. Just days before being arrested Jan. 18 for a series of armed robberies in the Gwinnett County area, Derrick Cage allegedly robbed a check cashing business in unincorporated Norcross. On Jan. 16 around 11:32 a.m., the 28-year-old light-skinned black male walked into 1% Check Cashing at 5050 Jimmy Carter Boulevard. A man claimed that a driver pulled a gun on him after a cut-off incident on the highway earlier this month. According to the police report, a 48-year-old man from Auburn, Ga., was driving southbound on I-85 around 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 13. The man told police that he was in the far right lane near the Beaver Ruin exit when a white 2012 Cadillac attempted to get off the exit. The driver of the Cadillac changed his mind, though, and cut off the Auburn man in order to continue on I-85. The man decided to change lanes shortly after, and the Cadillac followed suit. One woman and two men were arrested last week for false imprisonment, kidnapping, motor vehicle theft and aggravated assault, all because of an ex-boyfriend. On Jan. 11 around 11:07 p.m., Gwinnett County Police officers met with a 19-year-old woman in response to a carjacking that took place at Indian Trail Apartments at 1100 Indian Trail Lilburn Road in unincorporated Norcross. A man was arrested for allegedly cutting his neighbor and stealing his cell phone last month after accusing the neighbor of burglarizing his property. The incident occurred Dec. 29 around 5 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Meadowood Commons Drive in the City of Norcross. According to the police report, the neighbor, a 19-year-old man, said the suspect stopped him in the parking lot. A woman was robbed last month after she got into a car with a man who volunteered to drive her back to her car from a bar. The woman, a 25-year-old from Pennsylvania, called authorities Dec. 27 around 12:18 a.m. to report the incident. Six days after being robbed, a Sprint store in the City of Norcross was reportedly burglarized late one evening. Norcross Police officers arrived at the cell phone store located on the 6000 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard around 11:36 p.m. on Dec. 27 after the business burglar alarm went off. According to the police report, the suspect or suspects broke the glass to the front door by smashing it with a large rock. After the business owner was notified and arrived at his store, he told police that cash from two register drawers had been taken, one of which was from an undamaged safe. …
A Gwinnett County Police officer was conducting weekly taxi inspections at the permits office when a taxi driver asked to speak with the officer in person. The taxi driver, 43, of Duluth, unraveled an odd story of him being robbed by a woman four or five months ago while working in unincorporated Norcross around Jimmy Carter Boulevard, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Buford Highway.
