Norcross High School is offering a four-day basketball camp next week for ages 8 through 13.
For four and a half hours a day, the camp will have opportunities for campers to learn everything there is to know about the sport. They'll learn about stretching techniques, ball-handling and passing, rebounding, teamwork and communication, body weight conditioning, self motivation and more.
"We welcome all ability levels and provide a positive, encouraging teaching environment to learn and have fun," according to the camp's brochure. "We will provide the tools to become a better player and help stimulate enthusiasm for the game."
While the camp will be led by Norcross High varsity basketball coaches and other trained professionals, current college and professional basketball players will be making appearances, too. Jodie Meeks of the Philadelphia 76ers, Gani Lawal of the Phoenix Suns and Jeremy Lamb of the UNC Charlotte are just a few of the big names at the camp.
The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 25 through June 28 at Norcross High School, located at 5300 Spalding Drive. Registration is $120 per camper. For more information and to register, go to Norcross Basketball website. Interested parties also can register the day of the camp.
