Woman Killed in Possible Gang Shooting in Norcross Area
The incident occurred off Phil Niekro Parkway early Sunday.
A woman was shot and killed in unincorporated Norcross early Sunday in what police believe was an incident related to criminal street gang activity.
The woman, identified as 21-year-old Malia Arianne Ross-Robinson, was shot at 4161 Phil Niekro Parkway off Beaver Ruin Road around 4:15 a.m. Dec. 9. She was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries, according to a news release from Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.
"At this time, it appears that only Ross was struck," the release says.
Detectives believe that Ross-Robinson was a part of a group that was involved in an altercation with a second group at Liquid Ultra Lounge, a nightclub off Holcomb Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners. The altercation ended, but it started again at a nearby gas station.
The fight dispersed a second time, and Ross-Robinson's group traveled to Phil Niekro Parkway. The other group showed up, too, and the altercation was renewed once more.
An unknown member of one of the groups produced a gun and fired multiple shots, where Ross-Robinson was hit.
Detectives believe this case may be related to criminal street gang activity. No charges have been made thusfar and the investigation is ongoing.

Funny how when you read about stories in the newspaper/internet the truth is never printed!! Gwinnett county cops draw a picture they want you to see and its never the truth its what they want it to be. You ever read a story that releases too much information and it puts people in harms way then you read a week later that they were murdered as well? That's GCPD for you releasing too much information when the case is still under investigation. But, they don't care cause they are downright disrespectful and racist as all hell.

It is the fault of parent's that are careless and create of their homes safe havens for troubled teens whom still have issues in life such as an identity problems, that mimic those who are going about life completly wrong. I ask these parents, How many teenage funerals have you been to in the last three years?...harbouring heathens and miss guided teens, allowing them to consume drugs and alchohol just to take advantage of them is not good parenting.The Gwinnett residence can rest assure on one thing, COPS WILL continue to work on making communities safe and making it impossible to be part of this ongoing epidemic of youth gangs and uncalled for violence.
