Have you ever needed a full suit of armor just in case you get in a sword fight? Well, you are in luck. These cool-looking suits that can be purchased in all their glory at the Martial Arts Supply Store at 6695 Jimmy Carter Blvd.

Is washing your feet too much of a hassle? Now you never have to bend over to wash those stinky bears again. Family Dollar offers us Easy Feet, a contraption with “over 1,000 bristles” and a pumice stone that you wear like a slipper in the shower. It has suction cups on the bottom so you won’t slip and break your neck, too. Very thoughtful.

At H.M. Fixture Store at 6695 Jimmy Carter Blvd, I found all the mannequins a heart could desire. There were as many shades as the United Nations, young ones, curvy ones and skinny ones.

Taste of Britain in Downtown Norcross gives us Marmite by the jar. It’s spread on toast the same way you would use a jam or jelly. But, this spread is made from yeast. (Hey, it’s a byproduct of Guinness.) The store clerks said it’s an acquired taste, and you either love it or hate it. One really sold it to me by telling me it’s like eating gasoline. But she personally grew up with it and likes the taste, which is savory and salty.

At the nearby H.M. Fixture & Restaurant Supply Store, I found a popcorn maker--several actually. My son would love it if I bought one because he loves popcorn almost as much as he loves video games. And anyone who knows a teenage boy should understands the depth of that statement.

Mukhwas are a unique cultural item I found at the Global Mall. These mixtures are used to freshen your mouth between meals. Global Pann House, which is at the top of the elevators by the food court, has a variety to choose from. They have some that taste like candy and some that are made out of seeds and herbs, like fennel seed. They're also a digestive aid, so it’s a win-win situation.

Variety is the spice of life in Norcross--and shopping is no exception. My challenge: To find the most odd things imaginable in the many shops the area has to offer. My outcome: ninja suits, antique irons and creepy portraits. There were no shortage of curiosities!
