Two Arrested for Taking Truck Parts

Norcross PD arrested two men after finding them in the act of stealing truck parts from a Tropicana branch earlier this month.
A suspicious persons call was received around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 to report that two males were behind a business at 2885 Pacific Drive in the city of Norcross. According to the police report, the business kept many large, refrigerated trucks there to transport juice.
When a Norcross officer responded to the scene, he noticed a man with a large build walk toward a fence with a hole cut in it. The officer saw several large objects outside the fence, which police later discovered were batteries, engine heads and turbos from the Tropicana trucks.
The man got into an older model truck and started driving toward the officer, who motioned for the driver to stop. The officer noticed vehicle parts in the back of the truck, too.
The man told the officer that he was just hanging out. When asked about the parts, the man said he had a big truck and the parts were for it.
Other officers and a K9 unit arrived to further investigate. A second suspect was found laying in the fenced area.
A key holder for the business arrived and confirmed that the items came from the Tropicana trucks.
Officers then questioned the subjects. The second subject said he was watching the Super Bowl and decided to come up to the business. The driver told police that he saw the truck parts the other night when he was there, so when he came back and they were still there, he was going to take them to the scrap yard. If he was going to steal anything, he told officers, he would have taken the business' juice because he could sell it more quickly.
When the driver's pockets were emptied, the following items were found: wire snippers, a set of Volvo keys, ratchet tools, a pocket knife, and a cell phone.
Both subjects were apprehended and arrested.

Not sure who Officer Hall is or what he had to do with this arrest.
However, good work by Norcross PD (again). Hopefully these are felonies for the two that were apprehended. Hang 'em high!
