Update: Train Hits Car, Man Near Buford Highway; 1 Dead

Updated, 11:15 p.m.
Gwinnett Police said two vehicles had a wreck on the railroad tracks near Buford Highway, and the vehicles were unable to be cleared by the time the train came, according to police.
One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and the a third man was transported on non-life threatening injuries.
Police originally reported one fatality on scene. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

At least one is reported dead after a person and vehicle were hit by a train near Norcross on Tuesday.
According to Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith, the incident occurred near Amwiler Road and Buford Highway in Peachtree Corners.
The officers are on scene and the accident investigation unit is en-route.

In February, another train off Buford Highway also hit and killed a man. Police say the victim was walking along the tracks when he was struck.
