Find out what's happening this weekend here:
On Saturday, head to Bleu House Cafe from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the Dog Days of Summer Backyard BBQ. Help raise money for Canine Assistants by enjoying live music and barbecue.
Afterward in the evening, "The Adventures of Tintin" will be playing as part of Norcross' free Movie in the Park series. Grab a picnic and cooler and head to Lillian Webb Park anytime after 7 p.m. The movie starts at dusk at 9 p.m.
Saturday also marks the start of the Eastman Gun Show at the North Atlanta Trade Center. Check out thousands of new and used guns, rifles, shotguns, knives, ammunition, holsters and more from numerous vendors at the expo. The gun show is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Entrance for adults is $8 and free for children.
Going back to downtown Norcross, Iron Horse Tavern and 45 South Cafe are having their usual music selection for the weekend. The eclectic Meleah and Jared will be playing at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Iron Horse, and the tavern's regular karaoke will take place at 10 p.m. Saturday.
45 South will have Circle of Fifths playing Friday and Ron Hipp on Saturday, both at 7:30 p.m.
