The Norcross Weekend Planner

Norcross loves its arts scene.

The weekend is starting a bit earlier this week with Norcross' first Third Thursday Arts Party. Head to historic downtown Thursday, Sept. 20, for arts galore: Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery will be celebrating its first year anniversary of being in Norcross, and Bella Vita Gallery next door is making its grand opening to the city.

Other goodies lay in store at The Nest, Kudzu Art Zone, and other shops and restaurants downtown, so for the full details, click here. Everything starts at 6 p.m.

"Of Mice and Men" at Lionheart Theatre will continue this week with performances Friday through Sunday. Reserve your tickets for the John Steinbeck classic.

Just around the corner from downtown, the Down The Street Bead Show will be at the North Atlanta Trade Center for its ninth annual celebration. Check out the jewelry-making classes, the vendors and beads in the Friday through Saturday expo. The entrance fee is $5. For more details, check out thedownthestreetbeadshow.com.

Anna Balkan Designer Jewelry Gallery is celebrating its second year anniversary in Norcross this Saturday with a party! Don't miss the special deals, food, music and more at the South Peachtree Street storefront. The fun starts at 7 p.m., but check out the Patch article for all the specifics.

Need to grab a drink or a bite to eat? Head to 45 South Cafe or the Iron Horse Tavern for that and a more. Iron Horse is having Alias Smith & Jones play live music Friday at 9:30 p.m., with its Saturday Night Karaoke following the next day at 10 p.m. 45 South will have Lauren St. Jane & Dead Westerns on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Lash Brooks playing Saturday at the same time.
