This Saturday is St. Patrick's Day, and on St. Patrick's Day, everyone is Irish. Norcross Patch has the 411 on where to go and what to do; just make sure you wear your green.
The festivities in Historic Downtown Norcross start from 11:30 a.m. and last all day. During lunch time, listen to live celtic music and covers in the square until 2 p.m. The town also will have special four-leaf clovers hidden around town, and each one will have different discounts to restaurants and stores if presented that day.
Irish-themed items, such as china pieces and pottery with shamrocks, Irish food and, party items, will be on sale at Taste of Britain. Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery is having discounts on photos of Ireland, too.
As for night-time activities, spend some time in none other than Iron Horse Tavern. With St. Paddy's being its busiest day of the year, Iron Horse is going all out with the green holiday. They'll be serving up corned beef and cabbage, Irish nachos (homemade potato chips, jalapenos, cheese and corn beef), and three Irish beers on tap: Guinness, Harp and Smithwicks, all in a special 20-ounce glass. To set the mood, bag pipes and live music will be in the air.
If you need something more mellow, check out Mojito's and 45 South Cafe. Mojito's will have live music, so sit back, relax, and drink a green mojito over dinner to keep the holiday spirit. The Chappelles will be playing at 45 South Cafe at 8 p.m., too, and they'll be playing covers from The Beatles, Cat Stevens, the Eagles and more.
Also, don't forget to vote for the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the our Best of Patch Readers' Choice poll! Voting ends 9 a.m. Friday.
