For the second year in a row, Norcross High School played on WSB's Thursday Night Football, and for the second year in a row they earned a victory.
On Thursday, Sept. 6, the Norcross Blue Devils beat the Parkview Panthers 20-0 on a stellar defensive effort.
Key leaders on defense were Tommy Tate, Kevin Mouhon, Jahmal Jones, Jarmarcus Connally, Lorenzo Carter, Shon Akins and Jordan Noil.
Scoring for the Blue Devils started midway in the first quarter. Norcross scored on a 34-yard pass from Joseph Wilber to Trey Smith. With 21 seconds before half, Joseph Wilber then hit Myles Autry on a 4-yard pass for another touchdown.
The third quarter finished the scoring for the night with Myles Autry returning a 72-yard punt for a touchdown.
Next Friday (Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m.) opens up regional play for Norcross as they travel to North Gwinnett High. The game will be televised on GPB-TV.
