Norcross Policy Work Session, Special Called Meeting Tonight
Monday's session looks like it may be a short one.
The Norcross City Council will meet Monday, Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m. for its last policy work session of 2012.
A special called meeting also will take place in conjunction with the session. The meeting concerns a one-time incentive pay of $153,000 for city employees.
In the second floor conference room of Norcross City Hall, the council will discuss the following agenda items:
-A special use permt for the Petco 5K Dogs-in-the-Parks event
-Approving the bid award on replacing city hall's current six-car parking lot to 18 spaces
-Adding gateway signage and a downtown digital reader board to Norcross city limits, as discussed in previous meetings
-Addressing the expired terms on the Preservation Tree Board, the Norcross Housing Authority, the Downtown Development Authority and the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District
-Upgrading the area enclosed by Skin Alley, College Street, Jones Street and Holcomb Bridge Road. The proposal would be a "comprehensive look at adding parking, additional retail, a pass-through to College Street, and possible rest areas, as well as a recommendation as to what should be done with the surrounding historic properties," according to the agenda.
