Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Pimping of a Minor
Airick Creighton, a 20-year-old from the Norcross area, was convicted Friday in Gwinnett County, according to media reports.
A man from the Norcross area has been convicted of forcing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution, according to media reports.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Airick Creighton, 20, has been sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in prison on charges of aggravated child molestation and pimping a minor. The jail time will be followed by a life on probation, and he will also be a registered sex offender for life.
According to prosecutors, Creighton had brought the 14-year-old to a motel room in the Norcross area. He helped her use Backpage.com for her prostitution services.
Backpage.com was used in another Norcross-area incident involving prostitution. In June of 2012, German professor Max Reinhart from the University of Georgia was arrested on charges of prostitution at a Guest House Inn in unincorporated Norcross. Gwinnett detectives had found an ad in the transsexual escort services section of Backpage.com for someone named "Sasha," Reinhart's alleged alias.
An undercover detective and the Roland met at the inn, came to an agreement of $60 for thirty minutes of "services," and Reinhart was then taken into custody.
