So soon after St. Patrick's Day, Iron Horse Tavern is at it again with its tasting series.
The tavern is having its next tasting series next Tuesday, March 27, and its starring Terrapin, the delicious Georgia beer brewed in Athens.
Guests will have four Terrapin beers (Rye Pale Ale, Golden Ale, Hop Karma and Moo-Hoo) to drink and pair with a delectable four-course meal, crafted by Chef Clinton Pritchard of the Dunwoody Restaurant Group.
According to a statement from the bar, a slow-simmered chicken and seafood gumbo kicks off the meal and will be paired with Terrapin's Rye Pale Ale.
For the second course, Pritchard made it light with a spinach salad complete with a strawberry balsamic reduction, which will go perfect with some crisp Golden Ale.
Slow-cooked steak tips, rich tomato cream sauce and garlic egg noodles topped with parmesan will be the third course in a beef Storganoff. It'll be paired with Terrapin's Hop Karma, which is brewed with five types of hops and seven different malts, according to the Terrapin website.
Finish off the night with some scrumptious apple crumble, complete with slow-stewed apples, brown sugar and vanilla ice cream. Its drink pairing, the chocolate milk stout Moo-Hoo, couldn't be more perfect.
The event will take place Tuesday, March 27. Tickets are $25. Reservations are recommended, but tickets can be purchased the evening of the tasing, too.
