Voters on Tuesday gave a slight to casino gambling questions on the Democratic and Republican ballots in the 2012 primary election.

On the GOP question of whether to support casino gambling "with funds going to education," the results were 50.2 percent "yes," 49.7 percent "no."

How did you vote on the casino gambling questions? Tell us in the comments below.

In the GOP voting, 956,006 votes were cast.

The question was non-binding.

The outcome could affect the proposed gambling facility in Gwinnett County, particularly unincorporated Norcross. A developer has proposed a casino gambling complex there, with funds aiding the HOPE scholarship.

Former University of Georgia football star Herschel Walker has said he would develop a restaurant as part of the complex.

There would be such an increase in tourist coming from every state and country to spend money in Georgia. There are so many people going to Biloxi, Vegas, Cherokee, Tunica, Reno, Atlantic City, etc. now spending this in those states and giving their money not only to the casinos located there but to the hotels, restaurants, site ventures, and shopping. Not to mention, the fact that our education funds and jobs would increase. We are a dying large city with too many restrictions on what is right and wrong. Why be judgemental on saying crime would increase. We already have increased crime that nothing is done about and gambling in the small convenience stores that the immigrants are making a killing off of. Spas run by asians that the americans cant even get a job from; who knows if all of them are even licensed. The casino would have security and be controlled; open up hotel jobs, administrative work, restaurant jobs, and casino jobs; God knows we need them, but do the politicians care? Do you care?
