A second incident involving guns and erratic driving was reported last month.
Another incident involving guns and road rage was reported last month, this time in the city of Norcross.
According to the Norcross Police report, the incident took place Jan. 25 at 9 a.m. when 41-year-old man exited I-85 North turned left on the Jimmy Carter Boulevard.
The man told police that he noticed a BMW was driving erratically in and out of the lanes. When the BMW drove in front of him, he honked his horn.
While both cars waited for a light change, the man said, the BMW driver reached into the backseat and held up what looked like a black, sawed-off shotgun.
The victim said he immediately called 911. The suspect drove off at a high rate of speed, but the victim followed him through North Norcross Tucker Road, Cemetery Street and the Cemetery Ball Field parking lot.
The victim stayed at the ball field where he thought it was best to wait.
The victim was able to provide a the BMW's tag number to police, which matched the victim's description of the vehicle.
The victim said the suspect was a black male, appeared to be in his mid-20s, and was wearing dark clothing.
The incident is similar to another road rage incident on I-85 South near Beaver Ruin Road. A man claimed that a driver of a Cadillac pulled a gun on him after a cut-off incident on the highway Jan. 13. He followed the Cadillac to Pleasantdale Road but lost sight of him after awhile. The victim gave a tag number, and from the registration information, Lilburn Police attempted to make contact with the driver.
