"Wild" West Chapter of the Friends of the Gwinnett Public Library Round-up

The “Wild” West Chapter of the Friends of the Gwinnett County Public Library is inviting all book lovers to a Readin’-n-Writin’ Round-Up, an evening of spirits, vittles and jawin’ about books, on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Norcross Cultural Arts
and Community Center, 10 College Street, Norcross.

A silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and liquid refreshments will be included in the evening’s events. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other book enthusiasts
and find out about book clubs meeting in your area.

The event is free and precedes an author event sponsored by the Gwinnett County Public Library, featuring three New York Times bestselling authors; Wendy Wax, Cindy Woodsmall and Claire Cook. The author event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include presentations by each author followed by an audience question and answer segment and then the authors will sign their books (available for
purchase.)

The West Chapter of the Friends of the Library benefits the communities served by the Duluth, Norcross and
Peachtree Corners public libraries. Formed last fall, the West Chapter of the Friends of the Library has already successfully applied for a $1,000 grant from the Gwinnett Braves to sponsor bilingual books for the library’s collection. Our activities have included assisting the library by hosting author events, sponsoring the children’s Summer Reading Program, holiday treats for the
librarians at the three branches, and raising funds to help provide office supplies and books.
